Statement of faith

 We believe there is only one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit as specified in the Athanasian Creed - "We worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; neither confounding the Persons, nor dividing the Essence".  

We believe that the Written Word of God (Logos) is Inspired, Inerrant and Infallible . Believers need the 66 books of the Bible

a) to know doctrines of truth,

b) for wisdom in chastising unrighteousness,

c) to understand right behavior

d) for wisdom to deal with complex circumstances of life.

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We believe in the Spoken Word of God (Rhema). Believers are edified through Prophesy

a) For situations of the present, prophesy provides help.

b) For situations of the future, prophesy provides encouragement.

c) For situations of the past, prophesy provides comfort.

"But those who proclaim God's message speak to people and give them help, encouragement, and comfort." - 1 Corinthians 14:3

We believe in the Five fold "office gifts" to prepare God's people to reach the height of Christ's full stature.

"It was he who “gave gifts to people”; he appointed some to be apostles, others to be prophets, others to be evangelists, others to be pastors and teachers. He did this to prepare all God's people for the work of Christian service, in order to build up the body of Christ. And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people, reaching to the very height of Christ's full stature." - Ephesians 4:11-13

We believe in the Nine "gifts of the presence" for the good of all.

"The Spirit's presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all. The Spirit gives one person a message full of wisdom, while to another person the same Spirit gives a message full of knowledge. One and the same Spirit gives faith to one person, while to another person he gives the power to heal. The Spirit gives one person the power to work miracles; to another, the gift of speaking God's message; and to yet another, the ability to tell the difference between gifts that come from the Spirit and those that do not. To one person he gives the ability to speak in strange tongues, and to another he gives the ability to explain what is said. But it is one and the same Spirit who does all this; as he wishes, he gives a different gift to each person." - 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

We believe in the "gift of talents" for particular service.

"There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives ability to all for their particular service." - 1 Corinthians 12:6

The fruits of the Spirit are the product of Godliness.

"But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control..." - Galatians 5:22-23
