The mission of God is inviting all people to become a part of His family to receive His blessings (John 1:12). God the Father’s heart is captured in this mission (Luke 15). He is deeply in love for every person and all of creation; He is a Person of the Trinity, and the author of salvation (John 3:16, 1 Timothy 2:4). The ultimate goal of discipleship is to bring Glory to God the Father by living a fruitful life (John 15:8), a life characterized by participating in Jesus’ saving mission (John 20:21). To join the work of God is to believe in Jesus (John 6:29), and to invite others to be His disciples (Matthew 28:18-20; John 14:15). The greatest life a person can live is to sacrificially love others, leading them to Jesus and eternal relationship in God’s love (John 15:13, 17:20-26). The mission of every disciple is to join as family and live as a blessing to the world (Genesis 12:1-3; Galatians 3:8; Revelation 19:9), inviting others into all that God gives.
