Christ-Centred

CC-B

To know God in relationship begins with Jesus, and recognizing Him as our Saviour and Lord (2 Peter 3:18). When we look at Jesus we see exactly what God is like (Colossians 1:15). Disciples of Jesus focus and build their lives on Him and His teaching (1 John 2:3). Every area of life has been designed by God to be Christ-Centred. God is Triune in nature, 3 Persons but One Essence. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Our identity as disciples must be found in this triune reality of who God is. However, we begin our relationship of knowing God through the Person of Jesus (John 14:6). Jesus made the way for us to have a relationship with God by dying for our sins, in our place, on the Cross (Romans 5:8; 1 John 2:2). The Bible teaches that the fullness of relationship with God begins when we repent, turn from our own way and turn back to God (Matthew 4:17). Jesus made the only way for people to come to God (Acts 4:12). We know God when we live a Christ-Centred life defined by love (1 John 4:7-9).
